I make and sell traditional Japanese crafts. These are Kazuko's Crafts - I don't buy and sell; I create and sell. As you explore this site, you'll find Japanese Calligraphy, Traditional Japanese Dolls, Japanese Quilting, other Traditional Crafts, Classes, and much more.	I think I can claim to be the only maker of traditional Japanese crafts in Brazos County, Texas. Of course, I have always been interested in Japanese history and culture, and I have studied Calligraphy (shyuji) and other skils all my life. When I moved here with my husband, my interest in Japan's rich history of art and handicrafts intensified. Maybe it was homesickness...
If you are interested in Japanese culture or want a unique, handmade gift for someone special, these pages have something for you. Nothing is mass-produced, and I don't sell the work of others. I don't want to build a business empire - I want to leave something special with people, something from my heart to theirs.	I was suprised and pleased by the wonderful reception my creations have had, not only here in the Bryan-College Station area, but from people all over. And that's what I love about doing this - sharing my passion for Japan's traditions with people I meet as students, at conventions and other events, and - now - online.
